| Built in the
1860s on land bought in 1854 by his father, John Pashby
constructed the original structure of wood, while the stone
section of the house was added later. The Pashbys came to
the area in 1865 and lived with the Gerholdt family nearby,
until they could build the wooden house. They had three
children, Pete and George Pashby, and daughter Jessie Plantz.
Gerholdts, Pashbys, and Plantz still live in the area today.
Both the stone and wood sections of the house are still
in use as a private residence. |
