This 260 acre natural area is a wooded isle located in the heart of metropolitan Black Hawk Co. along the banks of the Cedar River. The Hartman Interpretive Center houses displays, exhibits, and is connected to several habitats by five miles of trails. Open Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and Sundays (Labor Day-Memorial Day) 1-5 p.m.
Various locationsWith 25 miles of completed multi-use trails, and 30 more by 1997, Cedar Falls and Waterloo are recreational trail leaders. Trails wind through several parks and greenbelt areas for scenic rides. Call for a complete brochure.
A 52 mile multi-use trail linking Waterloo-Cedar Falls with Cedar Rapids. This linear park runs on a converted railroad bed and features beautiful scenery and historical landmarks. A trail pass is required. No motorized vehicles allowed.
W 12th St.This course is an 18-hole, 6560 yard par 72 course covering 159 acres. It has a driving range, full-line pro shop and lessons. Reservations are suggested for weekend play.
