LIEUTENANT STEVE WELIVER
Steve joined Waterloo Fire Rescue on November 5, 1979. He became a certified Paramedic August 10, 1982 and an Engineer July, 19, 1983. He was promoted to Lieutenant January 1, 1997 and
is currently a Company Officer assigned to Quint 308. He is the former Technical Rescue Team Leader and a HazMat Technician. Steve was selected as Waterloo Fire Rescue's Paramedic of The Year for 1988. He is also a diver for the Cedar Valley Underwater Rescue Unit and a former U.S. Army Medic. He enjoys mountaineering, scuba diving, flying and caving during his off-duty hours.
