CONFINED SPACE TRAINING
The underground confined space simulator is ready.
See it here.
Our instructors are Rescue Technicians on a Technical Rescue Team and meet or
exceed NFPA Level I Fire Service Instructor Guidelines. See our
Instructor Guidelines
.
The course lengths for the following descriptions are approximations and depend
on your site-specific needs and previous training.
CONFINED SPACE AWARENESS:
This 4 hour course is designed for anyone who works around confined spaces and
ALL emergency responders. Upon completion of the course, participants will be
able to identify a confined space and understand its associated hazards. This
program is a must for any employer with confined spaces on site or whose
employees may encounter confined spaces during their normal course of
employment.
CONFINED SPACE ENTRY:
During this 8 hour program participants will learn the proper procedures for
making entry into Permit Required Confined Spaces. This program of instruction
will prepare the participant to operate in the capacity of Entrant, Attendant
or Entry Supervisor during confined space operations. Participants will become
familiar with CFR 1910.146 and how to properly employ the permit program. This
course is a combination of classroom instruction and practical application in
actual permit spaces utilizing the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment,
meters and ventilation. This course of instruction is required by OSHA before
an employee can enter a Permit Required Confined Space. A special emphasis is
put on safety and non-entry rescue.
CONFINED SPACE RESCUE:
A 16 hour course for anyone who during the course of their employment is
expected to make rescues from confined spaces. This course is a combination of
half classroom with the other half devoted to practical scenarios in actual
confined spaces. The program content is easily modified to match your needs.
PREREQUISITES: Call us as the prerequisites vary depending on site specifics.
An "in house" industrial rescue team has different needs than a fire-based
"technical rescue" team.
