Staff

Daniel J. Larson, Pastor

On May 3rd, 1993, Pastor Daniel Larson accepted the call to serve Faith Lutheran and on June 3rd Rev. Larson and his wife, Carrie and their four children, Rachel, Jessica, Joseph and Andrew came to Parkersburg. Pastor Larson was the coordinator for the Twenty-Fifth Anniversary of Faith Lutheran in 1996.

History

Faith Lutheran Church was officially founded in 1971 and held worship services in the Parkersburg school gymnasium. In August 1971 the congregation moved to 302 Second Street. Our first Pastor was Rev. El Roy Buhr 1971-1980. In 1973-74 the new House of Worship was built. In 1976 we became a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Synod. Our parsonage was completed in 1979. In 1980,Rev. Buhr retired and Rev. Wilfred Frick became Pastor. In 1987, Rev. Frick retired. Our next Pastor was Rev. Richard Tragasz. L ater in 1993 Rev. Tragasz took another call to serve a church in Missouri. Then in April of 1993, Rev. Daniel Larson became our current Pastor. Rev. Daniel Larson says, "Come let us sing for joy to the Lord...let us kneel before the Lord our Maker." Praise the Lord and give Him all the glory! Amen.
