Caps and Gowns: All seniors may pick up their cap and gown in the Commons from 1:15 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on . After May , caps and gowns may be picked up from Ms. Brackin in Mr. Blau’s office. Questions? Call Ms. Brackin at 433-2400.

2007 COMMENCEMENT INFORMATION

 NON-PARTICIPATION:  Students who do not wish to participate in the ceremony should inform Mr. Cox by . Those students not participating in the ceremony may pick up their diploma in Mr. Cox’s office after

PHOTOGRAPHS AT COMMENCEMENT: Lattin Photography will take pictures of individual graduates as they receive their diplomas. No one else will be allowed on the main floor to take pictures. Each senior will be contacted by Lattin to purchase copies of the pictures. Following graduation practice, Lattin will take a class photo which may also be purchased.

TELEVISING OF COMMENCEMENT:  Commencement will be televised live on Channel 19. Additional broadcasts of the ceremony will appear on Channel 19 after the ceremony. Broadcast information will be available closer to graduation on Channel 19 or from Mr. Cox’s office.

 COMMENCEMENT PRACTICE:  Graduates must be in their assigned seats in the McLeod by 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2008, for commencement practice. If a graduate does not attend commencement practice, he or she will not be allowed to participate in the actual commencement exercise.

COMMENCEMENT:  Commencement will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday May 22, 2008 at the Mcleod Center, Cedar Falls IA.

Transcripts

Transcripts are available upon request from East High School. To request a transcript, fill out the transcript request form (Acrobat Reader Required) completely and email it to Sherrie Peters, Registrar at peterss@waterloo.k12.ia.us, along with your payment (if applicable). Payments can be mailed to:

 Please allow 3 days to process. For transcripts prior to 1987, please contact Student Services at (319) 433-1801.

 Fees:

  • Transcripts are free for students still enrolled in East High School who are applying for scholarships. They may get up to three free transcripts to send to colleges, also, while they are enrolled.
  • Graduates and former students may request up to three copies of their transcript at no charge during their lifetime.
  • Additional transcripts are $4.00 each.
  • Method of payment: Cash, check (payable to East High School) or money order
