Information Technology Carer Consortium

Students who choose to be a part of the Exploring Information Technology Career Consortium (ITC2) may complete the first year of one of the programs in Information Technology Department of Hawkeye Community College. The ITC2 students will earn dual enrollment credit, which will apply toward graduation from high school and Hawkeye Community College. Participation in the ITC2 will allow students to explode career options in computer related fields and to acquire background and experience, which has application o a number of careers. One of the benefits students will receive will be the smooth transition from high school to postsecondary education at Hawkeye Community College and if desired, a four-year college.

  • Intro to Web Design (IF135U)- 3 credits

11th grade

  • A+ certification I and II (IF100U & IF07U)-6 credits
  • Cisco Networking I (IF111U)- 2 credits
  • Cisco Networking II (IF113U)- 2 credits
  • Introduction to Computer Science I (CS116T)- 4 credits

12th grade

  • Intro to Computer Science II (CS116T)- 4 credits
  • Cisco Networking III (IF137U)- 2 credits
  • Cisco Networking IV (IF139U)- 2 credits – (CCNA Certification available)

 Waterloo Community Schools high school students participating in the Information Technology Career Academy may select one of the following programs for their area of study at Hawkeye Community College.
