| Scheduling Concerns |
Parents, please make sure your student is scheduled for seven periods both first and second semester. Notify us if your student does not have a class or IPREP (study hall) scheduled or if other errors have occurred. Please call the Guidance Office receptionist at 433-2400 to schedule an appointment with a counselor Students are expected to meet the district requirements for course loads. Only seniors may request release from IPREPS. The courses offered at East High School are available in the Program of Studies..
All schedule changes must be made prior to the first day of class. NO CLASSES WILL BE ADDED ONCE SCHOOL HAS STARTED. Requests to change teachers must have prior approval by an administrator. The only changes that will be made when school starts are for students to drop a class without failure during the first ten days. After the first ten days, classes will be dropped with a failing grade. Students will be assigned an IPREP (study hall) to replace any class that is dropped.
Fall, 2008 Timeline
August 22 – September 5: Drop class without failure and schedule an IPREP.
After September 5: All drops from class will be with a failing grade.

| Financial Aid/Scholarships |
| Seniors will need to pay particular attention to the bulletin announcements and listen for the schedule of senior events and college representative visits to East High. Parents and students may obtain scholarship application materials from the Scholarship File in the Guidance Office. The daily bulliten is also posted on this website under the Bulliten Section.
Seniors need to regularly check for scholarship infomation in the Guidance Office. If a scholarship application folder is empty, ask the guidance secretary to check if she has the original on file and can make a copy for you. Scholarships will be listed on a monthly basis as they are received and posted on the Guidance Office Bulletin Board. Sometimes we receive scholarship applications within a week of the deadline for application. Be prepared to check often. Scholarship information is also posted on this website in the Guidance Department Section, the Parents Section and the Student Section.
The Guidance counselors begin each school year with a Financial Aid Meeting for parents of juniors and seniors who are concerned about how to apply for financial for their college bound children. Please see a counselor or clcik the following links for more information on scholarships and financial aid.
