Our divers play the part of victims for Shell Rock's River & Ice Rescue Training.

With the proper training, using these "cold water survival type suits" to access someone who's fallen through the ice is a fast and efficient rescue method.

Getting acquainted with the current. It looks easy enough. But, we had the participants wade out to the middle and then float while the shore crew "swings" them through the current and into shore.

Participants use the "Rescue Alive Sled" as another rescue method. The sled is ideal for thin ice that won't support the rescuer's weight.
