Doug Kloster surfaces with the object of our search. A large retirement ring (on Doug's left thumb) lost by it's owner off the public boat docks in Harper's Ferry, IA (on the Mississippi River). There was just enough current to complicate Doug's use of a metal detector. After recovering the ring, we went to the north end of the dock and recovered an elderly gentlemans fishing pole. It seems he lives on a fixed income and losing this pole limited his recreational activities.
The rings owner (center) was very relieved to have the ring back in his possession and is seen here trying to get it back from Doug (left).
