Cedar Falls Band Hall

In May of 2002 the Cedar Falls Municipal Band Board approved the purchase of a new new band hall, the former Holst Business Products building, located at 211 Washington Street. (Martin Holst is a former member and former president of the Cedar Falls Municipal Band. The building had been sold and was rented by local businesses until recently.) The purchase was made possible by the very generous bequest of a longtime Friend of the Cedar Falls Municipal Band.

The new hall houses a large rehearsal area, four small offices, a conference room, a kitchen area with refrigerator, dishwasher, sink and microwave, a walk-in vault, handicap accessible restrooms and its own 10-car parking lot. All parts of the building are at ground level for problem-free access and it is only one block from our band shell in Overman Park -- a truly wonderful facility.

The new hall is regularly used by the Cedar Valley Big Band and on occasion by the New Horizons Band for rehearsals. The Cedar Falls Municipal Band has been rehearsing here since July, 2002. Our former home, the historic building at 203 1/2 Main Street, has been sold..
